To generate viewings and valuations of residential property (Lettings) in accordance with requirements of associated regulations and requirements. Liaise face-to-face or via telephone regarding the letting of properties. Match client needs with stock, accompany viewings and negotiate with applicants and landlords. Comply with Legislation, auditing and monitoring requirements relevant in the lettings industry and to maximise income generation and ensure business targets met by selling all of the services and benefits of using Peter Alan Ltd.

Requirements for the position

  • Must have or be working towards Lettings Technical Award to fulfil role (training provided for new entrant candidates where appropriate)
  • Demonstrate active listening skills, able to overcome objections and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to work using their own initiative and work as part of the team.
  • Must be capable of progressing towards achieving further qualification as required by business/legislation and any industry changes.
  • Must be competent with office technology.

Your main duties will include liaising face-to-face or over the telephone on the purchase or sale of a property, you will match clients' needs to properties, accompany viewings and negotiate offers between client and vendor. You will also qualify clients such as first-time buyers, cash purchasers, and those with a property to sell and make the appropriate appointments.

Branch Valuer Neath Branch 

A vacancy has arisen in Peter Alan for a Valuer in the branch. The position will be offered on a full time (40 hours) permanent basis.

Outline of the position

The Valuer will be responsible for carrying out valuations of properties for sale in accordance with associated regulations and requirements. A large part of the role will involve the administration of contracts and ensuring they are completed and signed by all relevant parties in line with company and industry policies and practices, and to manage appointments to ensure customer requirements are met and quality turnaround achieved. The role will involve matching out suitable applicants who meet the criteria of the vendor and carrying out viewings to secure a sale. The valuer will work with management to ensure fee levels and cross sales are achieved through maximizing income generation and ensuring business targets are met.

Requirements for the position

You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, actively listening to overcome objections. It is essential that you are able to organise and manage your time efficiently and effectively. Experience within sales is essential and successful candidates will either have or be working towards the Sales Technical Award and be willing to undertake further training and qualifications in line with business needs. A clean driving licence is essential.

Portfolio Co-ordinator (Temporary for 6 months)

Outline of the position

Role Purpose – To oversee and manage the maintenance, deposit return and gas certificate renewal process in the Lettings Support Centre, with a primary focus on one of those key areas. You will negotiate with landlords, tenants and contractors regarding works required to properties, manage negotiations regarding the return of tenants deposits at the end of the tenancy and be responsible for the renewal of gas safety certificates whilst ensuring that the certificate is renewed in the correct timeframe and is accurate and valid.

This is a customer service role and you will be required to deal with initial complaints with the aim of resolving the situation effectively and efficiently.

Must be highly organised and able to manage their own time effectively.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Is accurate and demonstrates good attention to detail.
