A vacancy has arisen in Peter Alan for a Maintenance Coordinator in our Lettings Support Centre in Culverhouse in Cardiff. The position will be offered on a full time (35 hours) permanent basis.
Outline of the position
To manage maintenance and property issues for our porfolio of managed properties. The role will involve answering queries from landlords, tenants and contractors on property maintenance issues as well as allocating work to contractors and arranging access with tenants. Communicating progress of works with landlords, ensuring invoices are received in a timely manner, and taking payments over the phone when required. You will also deal with the renewal of safety certificates, advise landlords on their legal obligations and assist in other departments when required.
You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, actively listening to overcome objections. It is essential that you are able to organise and manage your time efficiently and effectively. Experience within the lettings industry is desirable but good customer service skills are essential.

Outline of the position
To generate viewings and valuations of residential property (Lettings) in accordance with requirements of associated regulations and requirements. Liaise face-to-face or via telephone regarding the letting of properties. Qualify clients and manage appointments and administration to ensure customer requirements met regarding quality and timescales. Match client needs with stock, accompany viewings and negotiate with applicants and landlords. Comply with Legislation, auditing and monitoring requirements relevant in the lettings industry and to maximise income generation and ensure business targets met by selling all of the services and benefits of using Peter Alan Ltd.
Must have or be working towards Lettings Technical Award to fulfil role (training provided for new entrant candidates where appropriate) Demonstrate active listening skills, able to overcome objections and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
Ability to work using their own initiative and work as part of the team.
Must be capable of progressing towards achieving further qualification as required by business/legislation and any industry changes.
Must be competent with office technology.
