Pride Cymru’s Big Weekend returns to Cardiff for the August Bank Holiday Weekend, August 24th – 26th, with 40,000 people expected to join together in a celebration of equality.

This years’ campaign is ‘Proud to be me’ which aims to encourage people to stand out from the crowd, refuse to be divided and to be confident in who you are.

This year the Pride Cymru parade, which takes place on the Saturday morning, has a new mile-long route starting on North Road, continuing down St Mary’s Street and back up Westgate Street in the longest parade yet.  Families, individuals, groups and organisations, all are welcome to join the parade to showcase the true diversity and equality across Wales. Sign up to join the parade here

Several roads in the city centre will be closed to vehicle traffic from 9am on Saturday until after the parade finishes, so if you are travelling in the city please plan your journey accordingly.

As well as the parade the weekend will feature something for everyone with live music, headlined by 90’s icon Gabrielle; a Glee comedy stage; a UV roller disco; Bingo Lingo; and funfair rides with a street food court.
