Peter Alan’s celebrates most successful year yet!

Peter Alan announces strong results for the year ended 31 December 2021, celebrating the most successful year in the company’s 56 year history, with outstanding performance across all of the business areas. 

The record-breaking year solidified Peter Alan’s position as the agent who sells and lets the most homes across South Wales. 

The company has reported that 41% more sales were agreed than during 2020, with contracts exchanged up by 62% year on year, and £214,468,489 worth of mortgages were arranged.   Peter Alan ended the year with a 15.79% market share.

In Wales Rightmove reported that the average price of property coming to market has increased by 9.9% year on year, with the average house price of £230,813 at the end of 2021. Analysis of current asking and sold prices found that on average, Peter Alan sellers are achieving 99.3% of asking price when securing a sale.

In the rental market the demand is also high, with a 24% increase in move ins during the same period and a 19.63% market share across the company’s patch.  The average rent across Wales increased by 12.7% increase year on year, yet Peter Alan rents achieved were up 20% vs the same period.

During 2021 Peter Alan have led the way in bringing new people from local communities into the property industry.  The company have invested heavily in recruitment, increasing the overall headcount by 9%, and developing staff through training schemes such as the Peter Alan Lettings Academy, with a Sales Academy launching in spring 2022.  The Academy aims to capture the enthusiasm of new starters and give them a structured route to follow, developing all the skills needed to be successful and confident in their role.

Peter Alan are also recruiting for new Mortgage Advisors with no experience, investing in their training and development, with the aim to bring new talent to the industry.
