Angela Davey, Head of Lettings at Peter Alan, has been appointed as the South Wales representative of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Along with several other candidates Angela attended a panel interview at ARLA head office in Warwick at the start of January and was successful in her appointment as the ARLA Regional Representative for South Wales.

As part of this important role, Angela’s key responsibilities will include being the representative and point of contact for current ARLA Members within South Wales and to promote the membership to non-members and the public in order to ensure an increase in membership throughout the region.

ARLA is a professional body which self-regulates letting agents to ensure members provide you with the highest levels of customer service.  All ARLA members are qualified professionals and must follow a strict code of conduct, ensuring that your property is handled safely and with care.

2015 is set to be an especially important year for Wales as landlords and managing agents are going to go through some very radical changes in the way they operate. Amongst those changes will be the licensing of landlords and agents and this will go live towards the end of this year and continue through 2016.

Angela Davey, said “I am delighted and feel privileged to have been chosen to take on this role especially in this important year of change to the letting industry.

It is vital that landlords and agents in Wales are fully prepared for the changes coming down the track and as representative for members in South Wales I will ensure that I do my part to get the information disseminated in order to ensure high standards in the rented sector.”
