Multi-award winning estate agent Peter Alan have announced their support of Mathew “Pritch” Pritchard’s 30 day challenge to attempt to raise £100,000 for several worthwhile charities.
Mathew Pritchard, aka ”Pritchard” or “Pritch”, was founder and co-creator of the popular MTV series Dirty Sanchez.  In recent years Pritch has turned his hand to many extreme challenges to raise money for a variety of worthy causes, which has ultimately led to the creation of Pritchard's £100,000 Challenge.

Pritchard will attempt to complete 30 Half Ironman triathlons in 30 days, starting in his home town of Cardiff and travelling through various towns and cities throughout Wales, finishing many of his challenges at Peter Alan branches.  The challenge will start on St David’s Day, March 1st 2016, and finish in Cardiff on March 30th, his 43rd birthday.  A Half Ironman involves a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run,  meaning Pritch will be covering 70.3 miles everyday, for 30 days!

The aim of the challenge is to raise £100,000 for some amazing causes, including Peter Alan’s Charity of the Year, TÅ· Hafan.

Andrew Barry, Peter Alan’s Managing Director, commented, “We’re really proud to be able to support Pritchard on his amazing challenge and we’re so pleased that it will help to support TÅ· Hafan’s vital work with life-limited children and their families.  Completing just one Half Ironman triathlon is challenging enough, let alone 30 in just 30 days, but Pritch is a really tough and determined guy both mentally and physically and I am confident he will be able to complete the challenge he has set himself.”

Pritchard’s training has not gone without a hitch though, as less than a month ago a car collided with his bike, resulting in a broken coccyx, a massive bump to the head and a written-off bike.   Despite this set-back, after just four days of rest a very determined Pritchard was back on his bike training for his challenge.

Pritchard commented, “I’m extremely excited to get to the start line on March 1st and begin my big challenge.  If I complete the whole 30 days it would be setting a new world record. The last person who did something like this only lasted 22 days and I want to beat that.
Over the years I’ve experienced many an endurance event and it’s always something I get a huge kick out of and enjoy a great deal. The feeling of achievement when taking part in such a task is unreal, and to be able to support some really great local charities at the same time makes it all the more worthwhile.”
