The latest All Wales Auction which took place on the 14th February in Cardiff and on 15th February in Anglesey, saw more than 94% of lots selling at the fall of the gavel; including several residential properties and a plot of woodland in Llantwit Fardre.

Valentines week was especially successful for the national property auctioneers, the auction partnership of Peter Alan Estate Agents in South Wales and Williams & Goodwin - The Property People in North Wales, with just under £1million of properties selling at the fall of the gavel, including one lot being sold online.

A packed Cardiff auction room meant many people were contending for the winning bid, resulting in most of the properties selling for well over their guide price.  One of the successes was a one-bedroom property in Merthyr Tydfil, in need of a total upgrade, which sold at 70% over the guide price.  Another popular lot was Reservoir House in St Lythans, Cardiff which attracted huge interest before the auction and sold for £45,000 over the guide on the night.

The star lot in North Wales was a terrace house in Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey that had a price guide of £25,000-£35,000 and sold for a final bid of £75,000.

All Wales Auction are now seeking entries to their next auctions in 6 weeks, which will take place on 10th April in Cardiff and 12th April in Anglesey.  Suitable auction lots include properties that need renovation, ones with structural problems, commercial properties, parcels of land for agricultural and development use, or unique properties.
