There is not all that much you need to do before a Market Appraisal, other than making sure you’re there to show our Valuer around! It is also ideal if all homeowners/decision makers can be available for the market appraisal and make sure you have left yourself plenty of time to speak with the Valuer selling your home.

Generally the tidier the house the better as it creates a good first impression, however do not worry too much about this as the Valuer can look past a bit of clutter.  Photographs are usually scheduled for a later date to suit you, so just make sure to present your home well before then!

It is always an advantage if you can make sure that the Valuer has access to all of the rooms and outdoor spaces.

If you have extensions, attic conversions etc. it will be useful if you have the relevant paperwork to hand to confirm that it is to regulation and signed off.  Also if you have items such as leased solar panels again it would be handy if you can show us these at this stage to avoid issues later on in the process.

If you have any questions beforehand make sure to write them down so you don’t forget to ask us anything.  Of course though if you think of anything following the Market Appraisal please feel free to contact us in the office.
