We are excited to announce that we have chosen to support Mind Cymru for the whole of 2020. We plan to carry out numerous fundraising events to help them deliver on their vision, providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
Mind was once known as the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), founded in 1946, helping provide support for individuals suffering with mental health issues; much like today.
Mollie Powell, Marketing Coordinator for Peter Alan, said: “I am excited to be a part of this new journey and hope to help organise numerous successful events, to not only raise funds for Mind Cymru, but to also increase awareness about the help available to those suffering with mental health issues.”
Peter Alan are one of the largest estate agents in Wales and have been operating for over 50 years. There are a total of 29 Peter Alan branches around Wales, with over 260 employees, which sell thousands of properties each year. Since 2014, Peter Alan has supported one charity each year, for the entire year and dedicated all its fundraising efforts to that charity. Past charities supported by Peter Alan include, Cancer Research Wales, Noah’s Ark Foundation, Ty Hafan, Wish upon a Star, Four Paws Animal Rescue and Teenage Cancer Trust Wales.
Andrew Barry, Managing Director for Peter Alan, stated “Peter Alan are pleased to welcome Mind Cymru as their Charity of the Year for 2020 and cannot wait to start organising events to help support this charity and the services they offer.”
Lucy Lloyd, Senior Community Fundraising Officer for Mind Cymru, said, “We're delighted that Peter Alan has chosen to raise money for us in 2020. One in four of us will have a mental health problem this year and the support of Peter Alan will help to help people when they need it most.
We're really grateful to Peter Alan for choosing us as their charity partner and helping us campaign for better mental health services in Wales.”
Mind Cymru are an unstoppable community who refuse to give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem, gets the support and respect they deserve. They work tirelessly to provide online support, local support and an information line for those struggling. If we all work together, we all become Mind.
