About Heath

Heath is a community in the North of Cardiff.

Heath is a popular area due to the available amenities, good transport links and proximity to the city centre.  There are two train stations in Heath, which have lines to Cardiff Central, and other areas of Cardiff such as Llanishen and Thornhill and on to Caerphilly.

There used to be a large woodland in the area, which has since been replaced with the Heath University Hospital of Wales, but Heath Park still remains with a number of attractions including a miniature steam railway and several sports facilities.

Cathays is in the centre of Cardiff, Cathays is the home to a number of important buildings, including Cardiff University, the National Museum of Wales and Companies House.

Cathays train station provides easy access to Cardiff and on to Merthyr Tydfil.  There are also a number of bus services in the area.

With easy access to the city centre and all of its amenities, great transport links, and with its close proximity to the university campus, Cathays is a popular location for residents and students alike.
