Father of two and football mad Richard has a wealth of experience in the property industry.
“I got into the estate agent business when my wife and I moved from Cardiff to West Sussex for a number of years, returning after having our first son. I started off as everyone does in the business, as a trainee, and quickly fell in love with my role which I’m still proud of today. The fast paced market certainly put me in good stead for returning to Cardiff and joining the biggest agent in Wales!”
“I love my job and I especially enjoy providing the personal touch, I have stayed in contact with many clients over the years!”
Family man Richard loves spending time with his wife and two sons on his days off, exploring the local area.
“I live just a short distance from the Whitchurch office in Danescourt, and we’ve got loads of great outdoor spaces on our doorstep. Living so close to the Taff Trail makes for lots of good walks and lockdown gave us a really good chance to explore the local woodland… Castle Coch was our favourite walk.”
Being personally involved in the local community is really important for Richard, “With the lockdown restrictions easing in Wales we are keen to continue our good work with the local schools in the areas we cover from Whitchurch itself to Radyr, Tongwynlais and Taffs Well. We love to run competitions for the different year groups so look out for our window displays throughout the year!”
Olivia’s favourite way to spend her free time is with her boyfriend, jetting off on a mini break, eating at local restaurants or taking walks along the Taff Trail.
However, Formula 1 fan Olivia is kept pretty busy with her role. “My main duties include liaising face-to-face or over the telephone on the purchase or sale of a property, matching clients' needs to properties, accompanying viewings and negotiating offers between vendors and purchasers.
My favourite part of my role is handing over the keys to our lovely customers and watching them start the next chapter of their lives!”
“I am completely customer focused. Knowing and understanding what a customer wants and needs is at the centre of any successful business. Just a simple smile can go a long way, like they say… smiling is contagious!”
Mortgage Consultant Mark, has plenty of experience having worked in the industry for nearly 30 years, with 21 of those being spent within Peter Alan!
“I have worked in numerous offices across Peter Alan in my time here, building up a big client base and progressing to a senior role. Lots has changed during that time, but most recently since lockdown, we now offer telephone appointments. I feel this greatly benefits the customer as we can work more efficiently around their diary – fitting in around their lunch times, evenings and weekends.”
“At Peter Alan we offer a fantastic service to help our customers make the biggest financial decision they will make.”
When not helping people buy their perfect home, proud Welshman Mark is a keen rugby fan and enjoys watching the games… he even has a large collection of Groggs in his office!
As well as this a lot of Mark’s spare time is spent on martial arts, “I’m a 3rd Dan in Aikido and I’m also an instructor for the Welsh Aikido society.”
