Spring is good news for sellers

Get your property on the market now if you’re serious about selling, says local estate agency Peter Alan.  According to the branch, the spring period is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for searching for property. As people shake off the cobwebs of winter and the weather gets warmer, potential buyers will be out in force looking for a new home.

“Spring is a great time to sell,” says Andrew Barry, Managing Director at Peter Alan. “Not only are properties a lot more aesthetically pleasing in brighter weather, but increased appetite to move during the spring period means sellers will have more prospective buyers competing to buy their home making it more likely you will achieve the best price.”

Peter Alan traditionally records high levels of activity in the housing market during the spring period and Peter Alan fully anticipates another bumper season:

“We almost always see a rush of buyers entering the market in springtime,” adds Andrew. “It seems that many feel inspired by the warmer weather and longer days to start making plans for the future, including looking for a new home.  With Easter just around the corner, we’re advising home owners to get their property on the market early to be ready for the flurry of market activity that spring is sure to bring.”
