Spring is good news for sellers!

Get your property on the market now if you’re serious about selling!  The spring period is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for searching for property. As people shake off the cobwebs of winter and the weather gets warmer, potential buyers will be out in force looking for a new home.

“Spring is a great time to sell,” says Andrew Barry, Managing Director at Peter Alan. “Not only are properties a lot more aesthetically pleasing in the better weather, but increased appetite to move during the spring period means sellers will have more prospective buyers competing to buy their home making it more likely you will achieve the best price.”

Peter Alan traditionally experiences a spike in buyer interest during the spring period and, since 2014, has recorded on average 8%* more people registering their interest in a new home each March compared to the previous month.  Peter Alan also currently has nearly nine buyers registered for each property that comes onto the market.**

“We almost always see a rush of buyers entering the market in springtime,” adds Andrew. “It seems that many feel inspired by the warmer weather and longer days to start making plans for the future, including looking for a new home.  We’re advising home owners to get their property on the market now and take advantage of the high demand for homes – sellers are in a strong position to achieve a good price and a quick sale.”
